El Cap on the left and Bridal Veil Fall on the right.
Moonbow: during certain times of the year the moon hits lower Yosemite Falls just right and causes a rainbow at night.

SO.. Two of the women in the family are major scavengers.... they collected an entire bag of random stuff from hotels during their trip and sweetly donated it to us.
Seems like i do this way too much and Kry always mashes the button just before i get straight :)

The wildlife here is way too freaking tame. this is shot with my point and shoot on wide...
The day after orientation ended Krystina's family came to the valley for a few days.. We took an open air tour of the valley which was really neat to see without having to look around the roof of a car or pay attention to where we were walking.
We had orientation last week for the Tribe that came in for the summer. It was really cool to get to know everyone.

I've loved hay fields since i was little. Krystina and I went to the coast to meet her family and visit the Hearst Castle.. It was a good trip.. the house is really cool. I felt like i was back in europe going through some really cool museum.

Hiking up to Nevada Falls

So, I've made the decision that I am going to (try) make one descent photo every time I lug my huge camera bag around and hopefully I will lug it around once a week.. we will see. This photo and the next few were shot today on a 6 mile hike Krystina and I took up above the Valley. The trail goes to and on top of two amazing waterfalls. This is Vernal falls.
Self Portrait
I really like this spot and the rainbow really makes it cool.

At the top of Nut Cracker, a 600ft route on the Manure Pile Buttress. It's just 5.8 but I must admit it's a route that finally lives up to the 5 stars it gets in the guide book. Nice clean cracks all the way to the top.. well maybe a little face in there too. It was a good day anyway.
