This is all the stuff that needs to fit in our car (and there is stuff in the box to go on top of the car!)
When we got there on Tuesday we bouldered for a little bit, this is Joel on Budda's Belly a V5.
And me climbing a 5.9 on Thursday!
We started our trip out West, Tuesday, March 25th from Joel's parents house in Mars Hill, NC and headed to The Obed, about an hour west of Knoxville, TN. We climbed for the first two days, we got a lot of good climbing in, it was beautiful outside and we both climbed really well. Then the next day it was overcast and we took the day off from climbing. Brain, our friend from Greenville, SC, came and joined us. We stayed at Obed and went climbing with him Saturday morning (another overcast and rainy day, but the routes are steep and stay dry). We also went to a wedding!! They were climbers that we met the night before and we climbed with the groom the day of the wedding! The wedding was at a beautiful overlook and it stopped raining in time to take pictures after the ceremony! The reception was at the campground. It was defiantly unconventional, but still amazing. (Pics of that will come later.) But they are amazing climbers and we are probably going to meet up with them again in Chattanooga. The climbing community is great!
So now we are in Chattanooga and we will start climbing again tomorrow, hoping the weather is better! :)
By the way: none of these are Joel's good photos! ;) Just for fun! We have more pictures from different camera's we need to upload, so there will be more pictures to come!
Here is a video of me bouldering!
